Treat yourselves to a family outing that combines pure enjoyment with a fascinating introduction to history! On arrival at the Museum's admissions desk, you'll receive a free backpack* containing everything you'll need for your Adventure at the Museum.

Every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Atrium
Designed for children, this hands-on workshop features themes related to our exhibitions.
From May 17 to October 25, 2015: Take part in a photography workshop and create still life images with the help of a photography technique using sunlight.
This photographic activity inspired by our exhibit Horst : photographer of Style does not require a camera, because it is the light that acts directly on the paper.
Sunday at 11 a.m. (French) and 2 p.m. (English) in the Level 1 Exhibition Hall
Families are invited to come and hear tales related to exhibitions that will unleash the imagination.
Until October 25, 2015: Young and old are invited to hear legends that have been told through generations, shaping Montreal's collective imagination.
Last Wednesday of each month, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Share your passion for history with your baby and learn to crochet, a craft that's been passed down through the generations!
Wool and crochet hooks are provided by the Museum. Touch and play boxes are available for your use in the exhibitions.

"I just wanted to thank the museum for putting on the babies' day on the last Wednesday of each month. It is the second time that I have gone and I have enjoyed myself considerably. It is a really nice activity to do with my baby and the boxes of hands on activities are very interesting and fun for her. There are not a lot of opportunities in the city to do things like this and to really have something that is interactive for the babies. Also, it has encouraged me to take my daughter to the museum which I hope to become a tradition for a long time to come. J.A. Bombardier Theatre in the McCord Museum
The popular short film series is back this year with entertainment for the whole family. Four different programs are offered free of charge by the Fantasia International Film Festival in collaboration with the McCord Museum.
My First Fantasia at the McCord Museum - International Program 1
Saturday, July 18 at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The program features ten recent animated short films from countries around the world, including Belgium, the United States, France, Hungary, Japan and Turkey. All of the films are in French or without dialogue.
My First Fantasia at the McCord Museum - Carte Blanche to the National Film Board
Monday, July 20 at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The Executive Producer at the NFB's French Animation Studio, Julie Roy, was given carte blanche with this program. Her work has won many national and international awards. Julie Roy has selected some of the best short films made using the technique of stop motion, which creates animation through a sequence of frames. All of the films are in French or without dialogue.

Saturday, July 25 at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The program features 10 recent animated short films from countries around the world, including Germany, Brazil, Chile, South Korea, the United States, France, the Netherlands, Russia and Switzerland. All of the films are in French or without dialogue.
My First Fantasia at the McCord Museum - Quebec Program
Monday, July 27 at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
This program is composed entirely of productions from Quebec. It offers 19 short films or recent micro-short films, some animated, others with actors, all of them entertaining. You'll see four episodes of the adorable series Camille raconte and three family selections from the National Film Board. All of the films are in French or without dialogue.
