the McCord Museum

Celebration of Childhood!
Montréal, Friday, February 11, 2005 — This March, take a break from the world of grown ups and revel in the joys of childhood! From Tuesday, March 1 through Friday, March 4, the McCord Museum is offering a dynamic range of family activities inspired by the exhibition Growing Up in Montréal.
These bilingual activities are offered each day from 10 am onwards and are included with admission to the Museum. For more information, please call (514) 398-7100, ext. 222.
Spring Break activities include:
- Arts and Crafts Workshops — Design a funny hat to keep away the winter blues, or create felt flower buds to welcome spring! Be inspired by the children's clothing on display in Growing Up in Montréal and pin your own designs on our clothesline.
- Children's Films — Enjoy timeless Quebec classics The Dog Who Stopped the War (1 hour, 32 minutes) and Roch Carrier's The Hockey Sweater (11 minutes).
- Puppet Show — Babette in the Big City — Join Babette the cow and a street-smart alley cat named Vic on their adventures in Montréal (10 minutes).
- Exhibition — Discover how children lived in the time of your parents and grandparents through the exhibition Growing Up in Montréal. Featuring the McCord's remarkable collection of clothing, toys and photographs.
