McCord Museum Looking for Volunteer Guides
Montréal,
Thursday, August 12, 2004 – Do
you have a passion for history? Are you looking for a way to
share that interest with others? The McCord Museum of Canadian
History is looking for volunteer guides to tell the story of
Canada’s past to visitors of all ages.
Located in the heart of downtown
Montreal, the McCord (www.mccord-museum.qc.ca)
is home to one of the finest historical collections in North
America, including a vast collection of First Nations artifacts,
the largest collection of clothing made or worn in Canada, and
the famous Notman Photographic Archives. Through its
exhibitions, its cultural and educational activities and its
remarkable collections, the McCord brings to life the rich
heritage of Montreal and Canada.
