Ivanhoé Cambridge circuit
Ivanhoé Cambridge is a world-class real estate company, which owns a portfolio with some of the most beautiful historic buildings in Montreal. Several Ivanhoé Cambridge properties are highlighted in the MTL Urban Museum application through archive images or red decals on the sidewalks in front of their doors.
The real estate company is partnering with the McCord Museum and inviting visitors to follow a circuit connecting eight different properties. Ivanhoé Cambridge has selected five points of interest for informative indoor components complementing the use of the application. They are located at Complexe Les Ailes, Place Ville Marie, Centre CDP Capital, 1000 de la Gauchetière and Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth.
Panels in these buildings contain information and images from the application and various archives, including those of the McCord Museum. They enable visitors to learn more about the heritage of these sites and enhance the experience of application users. To round out the Ivanhoé Cambridge circuit, visitors are also invited to see the Centre de commerce mondial, Place Montréal Trust and W Montreal Hotel. A whole new way to look at downtown Montreal!
Golden Square Mile circuit
Since the 19th century, the neighbourhood of the Golden Square Mile has been synonymous with luxury due to its sumptuous mansions as well as department stores, university buildings and luxury hotels, all within the area of Montreal bordered by René-Lévesque Boulevard to the South, Robert-Bourassa Street to the East, Mount-Royal to the North, and Côte Sainte-Catherine Street to the West.
Equipped with your iPhone and the MTL Urban Museum application, discover the typical architecture of the Golden Square Mile and explore sumptuous mansions built by influential figures of the 19th and 20th centuries, that underwent many transformations. You will be surprised by what they are used for today.
Watch where you walk!
Decals on the ground, particularly on Sainte-Catherine Street near Place Montréal Trust, the Centre Eaton and Complexe Les Ailes, as well as at Square Victoria and, this year, in front of Place Ville Marie and the Centre de commerce mondial, help to locate a number of places included in the application
