Mimmo Jodice (2000) 53 minutes
Saturday, November 3, 2012 - 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Original version in Italian with French subtitles
Mimmo Jodice (born in Naples in 1934) is one of the leading figures in Italian photography. His approach to photography is guided by the words of Fernando Pessoa: ''But what was I thinking about before I got lost in seeing?'' The photographer looks back on his life work as he searches for the origins of Mediterranean civilization in the most picturesque places in Naples. His images are inspired by archeological remains and ancient faces carved in stone, eroded by time and the sea.
