The Maple Box: Stereoviews from William Notman, around 1860

This series of approximately 150 images presents a selection of the stereoviews contained in the maple box offered to the Prince of Wales during his visit to Canada in 1860. The series is made up of views from Quebec and Ontario as well as images documenting the construction of the Victoria Bridge in Montreal.
